Injection Moulding Machine Technician

Help build new machines, give existing machines a second life, or support customers around the world.

At Stork IMM, we work with high-quality injection moulding machines. As an Injection Moulding Machine Technician, you will play an important role within our technical team. Depending on your knowledge, experience and interests, you can work in one or more of our technical disciplines.

Three technical disciplines within our organisation

Overhauls & Maintenance

In our workshop, you give used injection moulding machines a second life. You carry out maintenance, overhaul components and modify machines to meet specific customer requirements. In doing so, you ensure that our machines can continue to operate reliably for many years to come.

New Machine Assembly

You help build and assemble new machines and installations. You make sure that all components are correctly installed, tested and adjusted before the machine is delivered to the customer.

Service

You support customers with maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on site. This may be in the Netherlands or internationally. You help customers keep their production running and act as an important technical point of contact.

What will you be doing?

No two days are the same. Depending on your knowledge, experience and interests, you will work in one or more of our technical disciplines: Overhauls & Maintenance, New Machine Assembly or Service. Your work will involve building, maintaining, overhauling, testing and optimising injection moulding machines and peripheral equipment.

Your activities will include:

  • Assembling, maintaining and overhauling injection moulding machines and installations.
  • Inspecting and assessing machines and technical components.
  • Disassembling, replacing and installing components.
  • Carrying out technical modifications and improvements.
  • Testing, adjusting and optimising machines.
  • Identifying and resolving malfunctions and technical issues.
  • Carrying out inspections, checks and quality measurements.

  • Commissioning machines at customer sites.
  • Carrying out service and maintenance work at customer sites in the Netherlands and abroad.
  • Documenting completed work and technical findings.
  • Contributing ideas for improvements to machines, processes and working methods.

Whether you prefer overhauling existing machines, building new installations or supporting customers in the field, Stork IMM offers various opportunities to further develop your skills as a technician.

What do you bring?

You are an independent and hands-on technician who enjoys taking responsibility. You like solving technical challenges and work accurately on machines that need to perform reliably for many years to come.

In addition, you have:

  • A completed technical qualification in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a similar field (Dutch MBO level 4 or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and electrical engineering.
  • A solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
  • Good command of Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of German is an advantage.

What Our Team Says

Meet the people behind our performance

Our employees share their experiences and insights about being part of Stork IMM.

"I started at Stork IMM in the field service department as a Service Technician. Over the years, I transitioned to the internal service team, and my role evolved from Service Technician to Troubleshooter. In this position, I’m responsible for handling all customer inquiries related to machine malfunctions. Lately, I’ve also been involved in some sales activities. Sales has always appealed to me, and Stork IMM is giving me the opportunity to explore this further.

Working at Stork IMM is truly amazing. You can start out as a technician and grow into roles like Area Sales Manager. Anything is possible as long as you’re ambitious, proactive, and show what you’re capable of. On top of that, the product is truly impressive. Both Stork IMM and its machines are constantly evolving. It never stands still, and that’s exactly why I still enjoy working here after all these years."

- Huseyin Koltuk, International Service & Sales

"When a colleague from Stork IMM reached out to me via LinkedIn, I decided to go for an interview – and it turned out to be a perfect match. I was immediately drawn to the open and friendly atmosphere, and that still holds true today. There’s a culture of being direct and honest with each other, working hard, but always making room for a good laugh.

What makes my job so enjoyable and challenging is the dynamic nature of it. Every day is different because of the interaction with both technicians and customers. I’m committed to helping our technicians maintain a healthy work-life balance. Sometimes they have to travel to far-off places like Africa for assignments and are away from home for two or three weeks. We always plan these trips in consultation, so that everyone feels comfortable with the arrangements. It gives me great satisfaction to organize this properly for them."

- Janine, Planner Serviceteam

"I started at Stork IMM as a Goods Management employee, mainly focused on quality control. With a desire to keep growing, I enrolled in a Transport and Logistics Specialist course through a POP discussion, which was a valuable step for both me and the company. I now act asa stand-in for the supervisor during his absence and hope to grow further in this role.

I enjoy variety and challenges and appreciate the freedom to work independently. What makes Stork IMM special is its family-oriented atmosphere. My son even got a chance to work here during his gap year, which helped launch his career. The company’s flexibility and local Twente culture create a great balance between work and life and a friendly work environment."
