Fakuma 2026: Stork IMM 5500 All-Electric
Better2Gether at Fakuma 2026
Stork IMM is now part of the ARBURG family. At Fakuma 2026, we celebrate this new chapter with a live high-performance packaging application.
From 12-16 October, Stork IMM will be exhibiting at Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen. This year’s edition is a special one: following the acquisition by ARBURG, Stork IMM is now part of the ARBURG family.
Under the theme Better2Gether, we bring together two strong brands with complementary expertise - while Stork IMM continues to focus on what it does best: high-performance injection moulding solutions for demanding production environments.
At our stand in Hall A7 - Stand A7-7201, visitors can experience this performance live.
High-performance packaging in 4.9 seconds
At Fakuma, the Stork IMM 5500 All-Electric demonstrates its capabilities in high-speed thin-wall packaging production.
Using a 2-cavity mould from Brink Moulds & Automation, the machine produces 3.79-litre PP packaging containers with IML at a cycle time of just 4.9 seconds. Each container weighs 98 grams, resulting in approximately 1,470 parts per hour. With a wall thickness of only 0.87 mm, the application demonstrates the speed, precision and stability required for demanding packaging production.
Holding one of these containers?
If you scanned the QR code on the container, you are holding a product manufactured live on our Fakuma production cell.
The application brings together Stork IMM’s injection moulding technology with a 2-cavity mould and Versatile IML System from Brink Moulds & Automation, SABIC® PP material, material transport by Koch-Technik and cooling by ONI.
Better2Gether
The acquisition brings together two strong brands with complementary strengths.
As part of the ARBURG family, Stork IMM can build on the strengths of both organisations while continuing to focus on the qualities our customers know us for: speed, reliability, long-term performance and a low total cost of ownership.

Built for high-performance packaging
The Stork IMM All-Electric range is designed for applications such as food packaging, pails, flowerpots and other thin-walled products.
With clamping forces ranging from 2,500 to 11,000 kN, the range combines high injection speeds with robust machine design, energy efficiency and the reliability required for continuous 24/7 production. Injection speeds of up to 500 mm/s, improved platen stiffness and the rack-and-pinion design contribute to consistent product quality, long mould life and lower operating costs.
