In our most recent newsletter, we promised we’d explain further how the choice for a Dutch company would benefit your business.

One aspect is the Dutch culture in conducting business. Our culture is significantly influenced by our everlasting struggle against the forces of water. Forces that can, in a moment of time, wash away that what has been carefully built up over the years. Such a fight can only be won by working together as a nation, by putting aside differences, and taking decisive actions to “get the job done”.

The Dutch even developed a very successful model of negotiation built on consensus between employers organisations, labour unions, and the government, which lead to sustained economic expansion in the 1980s.

This model “the poldermodel” or “polderen” is literally translated as the process of reclaiming land of which the Dutch are famous.

Today sees Stork encouraging a more straightforward approach to our customers mission where unified teams of employees understand the needs of our customers and serve them quickly and decisively, and without time-delaying bureaucracy.

At , you will see the effects of this transformation in full-force. Migrating to a horizontal organisation, we’ve abandoned the two-story booth. In addition, we will be present with a multidisciplinary team from not only sales, but also our service, and engineering teams to ensure we can serve you in all possible ways. It is our desire, and our hope, to show you how, after more than 150 years, Stork is still engineering for the future.
